The Dreams You Chase is a short, leisurely work for soprano saxophone and piano. The saxophone spins an ever-changing melodic line, with the piano providing important commentary around, above and below. The piece is of moderate difficulty, is suitable for undergraduate performers, and fits well in almost any programming context. A different version of The Dreams You Chase exists as the second movement of Adventure in the Air, a concerto for soprano saxophone and wind ensemble.
