“Picnic” asks the mid-level flutist to interact with the score, to find the most naturally beautiful tone of their instrument which will bring the emotional core of the piece to life. The elements of “Picnic” will blossom when the musician strives and discovers an honest, heartfelt interpretation. “Picnic” was awarded 2nd place in the 2022 New Voices For Young Flutists composition competition.
